This tag was awarded to the Arizona Antelope Foundation (AAF) by the Arizona Game & Fish Commission. The AAF would like to enter an agreement with the Wild Sheep Foundation to auction this tag at The Sheep Show in Reno, NV Jan. 22nd - 25th, 2014. Arizona dominates the top listings in the Boone and Crockett record book. This is the finest opportunity anywhere to take an antelope that will rank well up in the record books. This tag is good for Any Buck. The hunting season is 365 days (AUGUST 15, 2014 – AUGUST 14, 2015) and includes most hunt able pronghorn antelope units within the state of Arizona (see attached for specific units, rules and exclusions) Legal methods of take: Any firearm, crossbow, or bow and arrow as prescribed in R12-4-304, except in units with M designation and private property within municipal boundaries where only bow and arrow as prescribed in R12-4-304 may be used.
We are asking to place a minimum bid of $11,000 on the tag. If the minimum is not met at the event, the tag will not be sold and will come back to the AAF. By statute, 100% of the selling price must be submitted back to the Arizona Antelope Foundation along with the buyer’s contact information. Once the funds have been received, the AAF will work with the AZ Game & Fish Department to have the tag issued to the buyer. This tag cannot be resold and there are restrictions on transferring the tag to someone other than the buyer. Prior to issuance of the tag, the buyer can request the tag be issued in someone else’s name. Once the tag is issued, there are only two ways the tag can be transferred to another person per AZ Game & Fish Commission Rules.
Compassionate Transfer: Transferred to a Minor child of the person the tag was issued to.
