Brian Donovan and Nushagak Guides have donated this bucket-list, hunt of a lifetime, 10 days on the Alaska Peninsula/Bristol Bay for a giant Coastal Brown Bear.
Brian is one of the remaining Alaska Master Guides and has been guiding in Alaska since the 1990s. His focus has always been low-volume, high-quality trophy hunts. Big bears and high success rates because Brian is personally involved in each of his hunts.
This hunt will be operated out of remote tent camps in Wood-Tikchik State Park, north of Dillingham, Alaska. Most of the hunting will be spot and stalk out of boats, on lakes and the Nushagak River. This makes the fall brown bear hunt a less physically taxing experience.
This is real Alaskan wilderness. The salmon will be running in the streams while hunters are out on the water, and the moose are in rut this time of year. Brown bears will be gorging themselves to prepare for hibernation and are very large with great hides. The average fall bear in is 8′ to 9’6″. What an opportunity to harvest a true Alaskan giant.
Hunter will fly to Anchorage, then to Dillingham by commercial plane. Guide will meet hunter in Dillingham and from there they will take a bush plane to remote camp in Wood-Tikchik State Park.
