Alaska: SC 608 The Alaska Governors Kenai Peninsula Unit 15b Caribou Permit.
Kenai Peninsula Chapter of SCI is happy to offer a great caribou hunting opportunity. The SC 608 Governors permit is the same as the DC 608 permit between Skilak and Tustumena Lake, in subunit 15B.

Pictured, is Dan Schilling's 454 1/8" Barren Ground Caribou taken in this permit area. These genetics still exist within this herd and the patience hunter, that does their research will have an opportunity to take home an amazing trophy!

Dates Avialble: This hunt is available to residents and nonresidents with a season from August 10 to September 20th, 2023.

While many true trophy caribou come out of this area the tag is for either sex. This is a true wilderness hunt, but a guide is not required for non-residents.

This is a true wilderness hunt and the current number 5 caribou in the Boone and Crockett Record Book was taken in the hunt area! The best access is by horses or limited air and walk-in. Your chance to draw this tag in the annual permit draw is less than 2%. This is your opportunity to hunt this fantastic area.
The Kenai Peninsula is a 20-minute commuter air ride from Anchorage or a 2.5 hour drive along the beautiful Turnagain Arm.

Included: a hunting license for residents or nonresidents and a metal locking tag for non-residents.
