Alaskan Black Bear Hunt
This donation is for a 5-day black bear hunt over bait in the Eastern Interior of Alaska near Tok for one person. You will be hunting over established bait stations. This area has color phase black bears which are 40-50% of the bears, ranging from chocolate to cinnamon to straw colored. We live in close proximity to the bait stations. In Spring 2014, we photographed from 7 different bait stations close to 40 different bears of which 16 or more were grizzlies. We will have over a dozen bait stations the spring 2015 season. We knew we had a lot of bears in our area, but we were amazed at just how many. Overnight conditions will be at our lodge/home. This is a fully guided hunt from two-man tree stands. We will check baits then return back to the lodge/home quarters. Not included in this donation, but the following can be added to your hunt. First, you can shoot a second black bear for an additional $1200 plus the black bear tag fee. Second, if interested in shooting a grizzly, you must plan for a 7-day hunt at an additional cost of $1200, plus the trophy fee for a grizzly bear which is an additional $6,500 plus the grizzly tag fee. This includes two black bears or one black bear and one grizzly bear plus the trophy fee if successful. Third, if interested in a grizzly only hunt, you pay the additional $1200 for 7-day hunt plus the trophy fee if successful. All hunts take place early May to late June. See our flyer for pictures of 2014 bears. All meals, accommodations, and field skinning included. The hunter is responsible for transportation to and from Tok or Mile 91 Tok Cutoff, an Alaska Hunting license costing $85, black bear tag fees of $225 for each black bear shot, and a grizzly tag fee of $500 if deciding to take one. We are licensed vendors so all licenses and tags can be purchased when you arrive. Specific dates are to be arranged directly with the outfitter.
