All Inclusive Himalayan Tahr Hunt
Enjoy a five day 1 x 1 Himalayan Tahr hunt in the Alpine Wilderness area in the Southern Alps of South Island New Zealand. Donation also includes $1000.00 credit towards Red Stag hunt. This hunt can take place during the May – Mid-August 2015 hunting season. The hunt can be scheduled for 2016 but is strongly preferred to be taken in 2015. Included in this hunt is cost of trophy animal, field prep, storage and shipping of trophy to Big Game Taxidermy NZ, accommodations in modern lodge and alpine spike camp, food and non-alcoholic beverages, experienced and professional guide, helicopter drop-off, pickup and return at Christchurch International Airport….everything is included in the price of this hunt! Depending on arrival and departure time overnight stay in Christchurch may be required at approximately $150.00 NZD. This hunt can be upgraded to include any New Zealand game animals, touring and scenic flights, along with legendary Brown trout fishing. Additional hunters are welcome at current outfitter price list and a non-hunter is $250.00 per day. Outfitter will supply 7mm Remington mag rifle for those that do not want to travel with guns. Hunter is responsible to bring two boxes of ammunition and is expected to confirm brand with outfitter. However it is easy to bring your own rifle into New Zealand for one hunter. You need to fill out a permit form and pay $25.00 NZD at the airport on entry. Outfitter notes that in 2012 Wilderness Quest New Zealand took the current SCI World record #1 Himalayan Tahr in the same general area.
