*This piece was acquired prior to the Marine Mammal Protection Act. It is Pre-1972.* Authentic Antique XXL Scrimshawed SPERM WHALE Tooth. It is signed by artist "L.J.B." and dated "1864". It measures 7.75" Long (along the outside curve) x 3" Wide x 3/4" Thick and Weighs 1 lb 6 oz. The scrimshaw scene is of a ship, whale, 2 harpoons, and an anchor. It has a beautiful patina, striations and a naturally hollow root cavity. TAXIDERMY
