Antique American Single-Action Spurtrigger Pocket Pistol, unmarked but perhaps by William Uhlinger of Philadelphia, #1243, .22 Short RF cal., 2.875'' octagonal barrel unmarked but for ser. no. below, has removable cylinder axle/ejector rod; round 6-shot cylinder marked ''1243''; solid frame has long topstrap sighting groove, central hammer, integral spurtrigger sheath and flat-butt gripstraps marked ''1243''; two-piece varnished walnut grips. Mfg'd ca. 1861-65. Cylinder must be removed for loading/extraction. Condition is very good retaining no original finishes but an overall lightly frosted gunmetal gray metal. Grips are smooth and sound showing light marks and much finish. Action is smooth; bore shows moderate overall erosion and defined rifling. Est.: $250-$400. (Antique)(John Ackerman collection)
