this antique frontier-era leather loop holster is in overall very good condition, presenting an authentic, beautifully aged dark brown appearance. The thick saddle leather exhibits typical light scuffs, surface flex cracking, and minor handling wear consistent with historical field use. The holster measures approximately 10â½ inches in total length and features a 3â¼-inch wide main body designed to accommodate a large-frame revolver. Pertinent markings include an incredibly clear, crisp oval maker stamp reading "browning bros. Co. / ogden, utah. " along with individual factory inventory stamps "315", "38", "5", and "c a s". The lot is complete as a single standalone leather holster as pictured, without an accompanying cartridge belt or firearm. This highly collectible piece of western gear represents turn-of-the-century american craftsmanship from the legendary shop founded by john moses browning and his brothers, making it a premier cross-over artifact for both firearms and leather collectors.
