Antique Colt Early Open-Top Spurtrigger Pocket Revolver, NVSN, .22 RF cal., scarce 2.875'' round barrel with right-side ejector marked with maker's name and address flanked by crosses in two lines on top, has pivoting wedge at bottom for removal; plain 7-shot round cylinder; brass open-top frame has central high-spur hammer, integral spurtrigger sheath and ''bird's head'' gripstraps, two-piece varnished walnut grips. Mfg'd ca. 1871-77, originally with blued barrel and cylinder, likely silver-plated frame. Condition is very good retaining no original metal finishes, the barrel and cylinder a light gunmetal color, the brass a pleasing age patina. Grips show nice grain, highpoint wear and much original varnish. Action is crisp; bore is clean showing light etching and distinct rifling. Est.: $400-$600. (Antique)
