Antique ''Defender 89'' Spurtrigger Pocket Revolver, maker unknown, NVSN, .32 CF cal., 2.5'' round barrel has removable knurled cylinder pin/ejector rod below; fluted 5-shot round cylinder; solid frame marked ''Defender 89'' on topstrap, has integral spurtrigger sheath and ''bird's head'' gripstraps, two-piece varnished walnut grips. Mfg'd ca. 1880s with full nickel-plated finish, case hardened hammer and trigger. Condition is very good retaining approx. 92% bright nickel but for a patch of erosion over one cylinder bore and under barrel, scattered marks elsewhere; hammer and trigger retain traces of case colors. Grips are sound with light marks and most original varnish. Action is crisp; bore is clean showing scattered erosion and defined rifling. Est.: $150-$250. (Antique)(John Ackerman collection)
