Antique Large-Bore Belgian Top-Break Double Action Revolver, by Julien Warnant of Liege, #11, .455 Webley CF cal., 5.625" 7-sided barrel marked "Warnant-Creon/Brevete" (patent) in semi-circle at left, has integral topstrap, acorn-shaped cylinder arbor head, breaks open as unit with plain round 6-shot cylinder for loading/ejection; frame has large S&W-style front hinge, unique left-side thumb-lever barrel release, separate large loop trigger guard, integral gripstraps with lanyard loop at oval butt, checkered 2-pc. varnished walnut grips. Mfg'd ca. 1880s-90s. Condition is very good retaining no original blue with traces of case colors, scattered discoloration and light erosion. Grips are sound showing light wear and a few tiny chips. Barrel lockup is tight, action is crisp, bore is clean with overall frosting and fine rifling. Est.: $600-$800. (Antique)
