Condition Grade: Good. The comprehensive historical grouping displays mixed surface tarnish, superficial scuffs, minor base dings, and an attractive aged patina across the diverse metal, wood, and glass components. The sizes span from a tall 8-inch silver-plated presentation cup down to compact 4.5-inch handled mugs. This five-piece archive chronicles the elite marksmanship career of Sergeant Allan W. Firth, Company L, 9th Infantry of the Massachusetts Volunteer Militia (MVM) across four decades. The lot comprises an 1880s tall silver-plated cup by N.G. Wood & Son; a September 30, 1913 two-handled pewter cup on a black Bakelite base; a September 17, 1914 pewter bullet-shaped stein; an August 19, 1915 pewter and copper stein with a clear glass bottom; and a matching August 19, 1915 two-handled tinned copper revolver match mug. The items are offered entirely standalone as a single estate grouping without original individual presentation boxes, storage crates, flannel wraps, or polishing accessories. This exceptional single-soldier collection beautifully preserves the competitive target shooting heritage of the historic Irish-American "Fighting Ninth" regiment on the immediate eve of the Great War.
