Antique Remington New Model Pocket Revolver, factory converted to metallic cartridge, #13502, .32 RF cal., 3.5'' octagonal barrel with hinged loading lever below, marked with maker's name, address, Sept. 14, 1858 patent date and ''New Model'' in three lines on top flat, ser. # below; round 5-shot cylinder with conversion plate at rear; solid frame has separate spurtrigger sheath and integral gripstraps with two-piece varnished walnut grips. Mfg'd ca. 1865-70s, in full-blued finish. Condition is very good, retaining traces of barrel blue and a smooth gunmetal gray to the balance of metal with scattered pitting (esp. on cylinder, frame lug and lever). Grips are solid with left-side marks and a 3/8'' loss at backstrap. Action is smooth; bore is bright with overall light frosting and fine rifling. Est.: $250-$400. (Antique)(John Ackerman collection)
