Antique Smith & Wesson No. 1 3rd Issue Spurtrigger Pocket Revolver, #14021, .22 Short RF cal., 3-3/16'' tip-up barrel marked with maker's name, address and 1855-59-60 patent dates on top rib, has top hinge and bottom latch; short, 7-shot fluted round cylinder; solid frame with top cylinder locking lever, integral spurtrigger sheath and ''bird's head'' gripstraps; two-piece varnished rosewood grips. Mfg'd ca. 1868-81. Condition is very good. Barrel retains perhaps 20% blue, mostly in protected areas; frame has 50% glossy blue, mainly on sides. Grips are sound with 75% original finish. Action is strong; bore is clean with sharp rifling and scattered light erosion at muzzle; barrel hinge and latch are sound. Est.: $250-$350. (Antique)*
