SN: V70101 British military magazine fed bolt action service rifle chambered in .303 British. Manufactured circa 1913. Features a blued finish, 25.2" barrel, raised patridge front sight, leaf type adjustable rear sight graduated to 2000yds, volley sights, metal nosecap with bayonet lug and protective sight ears, single barrel band, serrated trigger, detachable 10Rd magazine with cut off on the right side of the receiver, manual safety on the left side of the receiver, canvas sling, charge loading bridge on the receiver, full length hand guard & forend and straight grip shoulder stock with brass disc & brass trapdoor buttplate. The right side of the butt socket is marked '[crown]/G.R/B.S.A. Co/1913' and 'SHTL.E/III'. The receiver is marked '2nd M.D' and 'D'. The barrel is marked '***' over the chamber and 'HV/SC' behind the rear sight. The stock is marked 'R.T.S., 6LH, NSW/136 and 'HV' and the brass disc is marked '8.22/2 M.R/284'. Serial numbers match on the receiver, nosecap and bolt handle. The rifle exhibits less than 10% of its blued finish with a majority of the metal surfaces turned to patina. Action is smooth, bore is dark with good rifling and scattered pitting and the wood stocks are good with numerous blemishes. Condition is NRA Good ***C&R Firearm*** From The John F Sukey Collection
