B.S.A./Saint Hubert Co. U9 7mm Mag #16428
Made in England between the early 1960's and 1979 by BSA for Herters/Saint Hubert Co. These bolt action rifles were originally sold through a mail order catalog. The barrel and action are BSA, with the rifle having been sporterized by a company known as Saint Hubert. Saint-Hubert Gun Company was the name used by Herters, a mail order sporting goods giant in business from 1937 until 1981. This is a bolt action centerfire rifle chambered in 7mm Mag. It sports a 24" blued barrel and receiver with no iron sights but is drilled and tapped. The bolt is left in the white, thumb safety is on top right of receiver by the tang, it has a hinged floor plate, serrated trigger, scope bases and a red cocking indicator on the back of the bolt. It has a very nice wood stock with checkering at the wrist and forearm with sling swivels and a speed cushion recoil pad. Comes with a Bianchi leather sling. Bore looks great, bright. Metal finish looks ok but does have a loss of finish on top of barrel. Wood stock looks very good with minor signs of handling and surface marks on left of shoulder stock. Condition is NRA Very Good **Modern Firearm**
