BRIXIA MODEL 1912 SEMI AUTO PISTOL.
Cal. 9mm Glisenti. S# D141. Bbl. 3 3/4". Very similar to Model 1910 Glisenti but mfg. w/ simpler techniques & sold on civilian market. No markings at all except S#, proofs & eagle holding arrows on checkered black plastic grips also having “MBT” on right. Matching numbered bolt & bbl. that also has MMBI import marks. Noticeable production economy move is elimination of front strap grip safety, yet area behind trigger in guard machined as if to be continued for grip safety. Simplified grip attachment utilizing screw & bushing near bottom. Base of backstrap drilled for lanyard loop provision; not present. No mag. latch on firearm; incorporated into magazines. Circular monogram at top rear of receiver. Glisenti cal. dimensionally identical to 9mm Luger, but of noticeably less power; under no circumstance should 9mm Luger be fired in this pistol. MAGS: 1 good somewhat stained plated 7 rd. w/ leaf spring like latch attached to lower portion of spine; balance straight not stepped like on Model 1910 Glisenti. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: upper portion of left grip & new right replacement grip by Triple K. CONDITION: good plus overall appearance w/ mixture of hand, function & high edge wear plus some sm. marks appearing mostly by slide release; also on right front of receiver rail. Occasional spots of peppery oxidation. Left grip Triple K replacement utilizing original screw & bushing. Slightly less shine to plastic than original on right but w/ numerous sm. marks as copied from an original so general appearance is very close to original. Good plus bore w/ distinct rifling & light to moderate cleaned pitting. Seldom encountered example. (20-1473/NW). CURIO. $700-1,000.
