RIFLE. Cal. 22 LR. S# UF3003. Bbl. 29" target weight. Martini style single shot action, fitted with a wide Parker-Hale trigger shoe. Consignor states this was the last .22 caliber match rifle offered by BSA from 1959 to 1967. The BSA, Winchester Model 52 & Remington Model 37 were largely replaced in the target shooting world by Anschutz Rifles. The MKIII is the only BSA Martini w/ a free floating bbl. Lyman Super Target Spot 20 power scope w/ adjustable objective & fine crosshair reticle on bbl. blocks. Bbl. and action have additional sight blocks. Return spring is not present on scope. Fancy walnut forearm and palm swell stock with rollover cheekpiece. Holder with front sight inserts mounted at end of grip. LOP: 13-7/8" over buttplate and added white line spacer. Forearm has accessory rail and hand stop. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Parker-Hale fully adjustable target rear sight marked “PH25” w/ adjustable “PH63” aperture. Parker-Hale aperture target front sight marked “PH1”. Al Freeland marked sling & sling cuff. Lg. 10-X shooting glove. Custom 3" wide bench rest forearm. Wood cartridge block. Dewey cleaning rod w/acc. & 500 rd. carton of Federal Ultra Match 40 gr., 22 LR ammo. dated on bottom of bar coded carton, "1998". CONDITION: stock set has moderate wear & handling marks throughout while exhibiting nicely grained wood. Metal parts retain 95% original blue w/ very light high point wear & occasional sm. handling marks. Telescope retains a very lg. degree of original finish w/ scattered tiny scratches & handling marks and the wear normal in a sliding telescope. Optics appear clear & serviceable.
