Cal. 303 British. S# 1283. Bbl. 25 1/4" plus front sight blade marked w/ "M/183" & "-045". Mfg. 1916 w/ matching numbered nose cap, rear sight (crossed out prior #) & bolt having "M" marked head; forend numbered beginning w/ "62" (balance not readable). Non cartridge cutoff receiver having CAI import mark on right rear of receiver. Walnut stock set w/ brass buttplate. Swivel on forend band & stacking swivel on nose cap plus lanyard loop on trigger guard (no provision for swivel). Unmarked faded green canvas sling w/ brass ends. Unusual spring loaded trapdoor muzzle cover. "III" on safety lever. Wilkerson bayonet w/ 17" fuller blade marked "1907" & "1 '17". Leather covered scabbard w/ blued metal ends. MAGS: 1 good plus 10 rd. w/ broad arrow, crown over "16B" & "4" at base; follower marked "3 V". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: very good tan canvas carry bag having attached tan brass ended sling marked "M.E. Co 1913" on brass end. CONDITION: fair to good overall appearance. Noticeable numerous stock marks on oil finished stock set having brass buttplate & walnut disk in place of brass disk. Very good refinished metal w/ slight high point wear such as rear sight ears. Fair to good bayonet w/ patina in handle area. Oiled appearance to leather on scabbard plus light marks & patina on metal ends. Generally bright bore w/ wear & even light pitting throughout.
