MARK II SCOPE AND TRIPOD. A large number of these rifles were converted toward the end of WWII with work performed by Holland & Holland with their code "S51" on bottom of stock. This rifle is in standard configuration with 25" barrel. Action fitted with Mark I sight with battle aperture removed and scope bases. Left side of action stamped "T" and left side of stock socket stamped "M47C"(BSA), "1943", serial number "AV2322" and "TR". Rifle fitted with military no. 32 Mark II telescopic sight with crosshair and post reticle serial number 9193 dated 1943 in standard drop forged mount stamped "JG" on left side and with number "AV2371". Buttstock with "S51" stamp on bottom fitted with screwed on high comb and has zinc buttplate with trap. Rifle fitted with brown leather sling marked "JT & L", "1942". MAG: 1-10 rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: OD painted, adjustable M42 A1 tripod has cast in number "7635203" and comes in its carrying case with snap closure & scope covers. CONDTION: fine to very fine. Metal parts retaining over 80% original blue. Stocks with over 90% original oil finish with many marks and dings. Bore is bright and shiny. Action is smooth. Scope retains most of what appears to be its original lacquer with some lifting and loss on ocular bell. Optically clear. Reproduction scope cover is present. Sling is excellent. Tripod is very fine with minor losses to paint.
