Beretta 949 'Olympic' .22 LR #2208
Vintage single action semi-automatic Olympic style target pistol chambered in .22 Long Rifle. Manufactured in Gardone Val Trompia, Italy by Pietro Beretta circa 1958. Features a blued finish, fixed 8 ¾” barrel with muzzle break & integral balancing weight cuts, fore & aft adjustable balancing weight, elevation adjustable blade front sight, dovetailed windage adjustable rear sight with square notch, serrated flat-top slide, serrated curved trigger, serrated round-top hammer, black finished alloy frame with single left-side control which acts as the slide stop, safety selector & take-down pin, heel magazine release, 6 round magazine with brown bakelite extension, and checkered walnut wrap-around target grips. Includes a factory leatherette wrapped wood case with felt lined interior containing a balancing weight wrench, brass cleaning rod, and spare magazine. Pistol retains approximately 90% of its original finish showing edge wear, contact wear on the underside of the barrel, a few scratches & mars, and scattered small losses on the frame. The rear of the barrel has a slightly raised edge with small burr on the right side. The action is mechanically sound, the bore is excellent, and the walnut grips are very good with wear/blemishes & the top screw missing on the right side. The case is very good with a missing hinge.
