Rifle. Semi-Automatic. German WW2 military issued rifle. 10-rd detachable box magazine. Gas-operated short-stroke piston, flapper locking. 21.5" barrel. Produced 1943-45 with a total of 402,713 made. Threaded muzzle with removable nut for blank adapter. Serrated ramp front blade and tangent rear sights. Rough machined receiver, and bolt carrier. Serrated bolt hold open lever to the right of the charging handle locks/releases the bolt. Left receiver stamped "G.43 duv 44", with waffenamt Eagle/214, and two Eagle/Swastika proofs. Eagle/214 on safety latch, and front sight base. Small waffenamt on top of receiver appears to be Eagle/WaAA44. Serial number matched on receiver, bolt carrier, and stock. Stampings highlighted in white. Waffenamts Eagle/359 stamped on stock, three small, and three large. Bore is good with strong rifling, but dirty. Blued metal finish is very good with some minor scratches/edge wear. Blonde wood stock, and laminated dark wood handguard are excellent. Cupped steel buttplate is hinged for cleaning gear. Comes with correct K98 sling. Cleaning rod present. Action is crisp/tight. One 10-rd magazine marked "gcb" (Grohmann & Sohn, Wuerbenthal) "K43" Two waffenamts Eagle/WaW892. Bolt body polished - no markings observed. Firing pin marked "8975" in electric pencil. A really nice G43. NRA Condition-Very Good. C& R Firearm.
