Vickie McMillan-Hayes, a native Texan now living in Galveston, has built a distinguished career as a nationally and internationally recognized wildlife and Western artist. Her breathtaking paintings, ranging from powerful African wildlife to iconic scenes of the American West reflect years of field study, deep respect for nature, and a commitment to conservation. Her work has been exhibited in major galleries and art museums across the country and abroad, earning her a reputation as a celebrated and widely published wildlife artist.

Her paintings have been featured in prominent exhibitions including The Briscoe Western Art Museum’s Night of Artists, The Museum of Western Art’s Roundup Exhibition and Sale, The C.M. Russell Exhibition, The Mountain Oyster Club, Cowgirl Up! at the Desert Caballeros Western Museum, Hold Your Horses at the Phippen Museum; The Brinton Museum’s 101, Birds in Art at the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum, the SouthEastern Wildlife Exposition, and a member of the Salmagundi Art Club. She has been named Artist of the Year for the Houston Safari Club and SCI Houston. Her work appears in Fine Art Connoisseur, Art and Architecture, Southwest Art, The Artist’s Magazine, PleinAir Magazine, National Oil & Acrylic Painters Society publications, and multiple editions of North Light Books’ Best of AcrylicWorks. Her work can be seen in numerous galleries, including The Broadmoore Gallery in Colorado Springs, Davis & Blevins Gallery, and The V6 Gallery at the Gage Hotel.
