This hunt is a 5-day spring Black Bear package over bait in Kapuskasing, Ontario for 1 hunter with Kap River Outfitters. The Spring hunt is from May 1 thru June 15. Lodging and guides are provided. You can drive right into camp, this is not a fly-in. The hunt must be taken in 2024 or 2025, this is a rifle or shotgun hunt, no draw required for the bear tag. Kap River Outfitters hunts 3 huge Bear Management Areas covering over 3,500 sq. kilometers. The average bear is 200-300 lbs. but 400-500 lbs. bruins are possible. Color phase bears are also fairly common. Over 90% harvest opportunity. Groups up to 10 can be accommodated. The lodge has a fully equipped kitchen and dining room to do your own cooking. Not included: Transportation to/from hunting area, meals and the required licenses ($250) are available locally upon arrival. Winning bidder is encouraged to bring along additional hunters at $2,000. This lucky buyer will have the opportunity to hunt with SCI-Houston past-president Scott Garrett.
