Early air gun of the type made in Germany or other central European countries thru the mid-18th Century. Breech loading, typically smoothbore, with a crank wound spring to power a rapid expulsion of air from a bellows in the butt. Features a tapered octagonal 32" smooth bore barrel, latch to allow tipping the breech open, full length forend, fancy larger triggerguard with finger grooves, protruding square drive post in butt, adjustable sights secured by dovetail in front, screw in rear. Top of barrel engraved "Georg. Dobner, In Kamm". Overall condition is fair for its age with reddish rust on metal parts, solid wood with fancy checkering, hole in forend possibly for a missing front sling swivel, ramrod or cleaning rod under barrel.
