British Proofed DWM 1920 Dated Police Rework Luger with Police Holster, #8901r, 9mm cal., 4" barrel, rust blue finish, straw colored small parts, checkered walnut grips, inverted-"V" front sight, fixed rear sight with small "V"-notched groove, with stock lug. Magazine safety is intact; sear bar safety spring is missing. Includes one matching numbered spare magazine with wood base, marked "2 / 8091 / +" on the base, no other markings. Additionally, this pistol comes with a second Schmeisser Haenel aluminum based police magazine; spine is maker marked above "(sunburst)K". The brown leather police holster is marked on the backside "Schambach & Co. / Berlin / 1929 / (sunburst symbol)". There are additional marks in the upper right corner that are partially legible "L M ??". Takedown tool is numbered "5428". Pistol is marked "DWM" and "(Crown)/BNP" on the toggle, with "1920 and " (Crown)BNP" on top of chamber. Underside of the barrel with several British proofs and "(Crown)/N". Left side of the receiver and middle toggle link marked "(Crown)/N" with "(Crown)/BNP on top of the middle link. Sear bar is marked "(Eagle)/6". Front grip strap is marked "S.D.VI 861." All visible numbers matching; grips and thumb safety are not numbered. Condition is fine, retaining approx. 90% blue, showing general mild toning and light edge wear, with a worn spot that has turned brown on the front grip strap, and moderate holster wear at the muzzle. Factory lettering and proof marks are clear. Small parts retain approx. 40%-50% thinning and toning straw colors. Grips display moderate age and handling wear, with some smoothing of the checkering detail. Lands are bright, grooves are lightly frosted and the rifling rates very good and is clearly defined. Wood base magazine has spots of cloudy mild patina on the body. Aluminum based magazine shows typical light wear. Holster is good, leather with moderate cracking scattered throughout but remains pliable. Lifting strap is intact and functions properly; stitching is complete. Est.: $2,000-$3,000. (C&R/PPT)
