Japanese made over and under box-lock shotgun chambered for 3" 12 Gauge shells, manufactured circa 1978. This is a Grade 1 'Skeet' shotgun imported by Browning Arms Company out of Morgan, UT. Shotgun featurs a blued finish, an approximately 28" raised ventilated ribbed barrels, steel bead front sight, the top barrel is marked "Modified' and the bottom "Improved Cylinder," selective automatic ejectors, single smooth curved gold-toned inertia trigger, and serrated sliding tang safety and barrel selector. The walnut furniture consists of a semi-pistol grip shoulder stock with checkering at the wrist, grooved and checkered forend with deeley latch release, long lower tang, 14" length-of-pull, 1-1/2" drop at comb, 2-1/4" drop at heel, and a brown rubber ventilated factory recoil pad. The receiver displays limited coverage of floral scrolls and edge designs on the receiver, and the deeley release also has edge designs. Receiver, forend, and barrels all have matching serial numbers, '12589.' The original blued finish remaining is approximately 95% with some edge wear, contact and carry wear, thinning on the lower tang, and the receiver is turning plum. Metal displays small areas of rust on the trigger guard, and inside the action. Bores are bright, but need a cleaning. The action opens slowly under its own weight, and it closes with a tight lock-up. The top lever rests right of centerline of the tang. Furniture wood is good with scattered blemishes, and dings (mostly on the forend).
Condition is NRA Good.
