Cal. 8.15x46R. S# 34863. Bbl. 30 1/2" fluted oct. configuration w/ matted top flat. Flat is marked "CARL BOCK FRANKFURT A/N". Left flat is marked Krupp-Laufstahl followed by cal. marking "8x46 Norm". Martini style action w/ finger curl lever & double set triggers. Engraving features game scenes of antelope on right side & red stag on left side. Scenes are surrounded by foliate leaf engraving w/ stippled backgrounds that extended to upper & lower action areas & buttplate peak. Top tang has base only for rear sight. Replacement ramp mounted globe front sight. Wedge fastened forearm & cheekpiece thumbrest heavy Schuetzen walnut stock. Iron Schuetzen buttplate w/ hooked toe. Left side of stock behind cheekpiece has 3 1/4" diameter Prussian eagle emblem. Stock wrist & right side are checkered. Ears of stock & forearm have oak leaf carving. Toeline of stock & bbl. are fitted w/ sling swivels. CONDITION: bbl. retains over 90% lightly faded blue w/ right & left flats showing vise marks. Action has lightly visible case colors. Wood finish shows wear w/ scattered scratches & marks. Action & triggers function when hand cycled. Bore retains lightly worn rifling. (24-1147/DS). CURIO. $4000-6000.
