BARREL. Cal. 36. S# 35224. Bbl. has standard address ending in "US AMERICA" on top. Frame marked "COLT'S PATENT". Side of brass bottom strap marked "36 CAL". All numbers matching. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: revolver housed in walnut case w/ vacant brass plaque on top lined in scarlet cloth & has "Directions for Loading Colt's Pistols" lg. paper label in lid. Case contains brass & copper sm. flask by James Dixon, "Colt's Patent" marked bullet mold, combination tool & a cap tin. Compartment cover has brass knob. CONDITION: bbl. retaining about 40% original blue. w/ scattered light cleaning & some freckling. Cyl. essentially all gray brown, as is frame. There are traces of silver on brass straps. Good to fine bore. Mechanically good. Safety pins are good. Grips retain 80% original varnish. Case is very fine w/ some repaired cracks on top. Interior cloth is good to fine w/ rubs & compressions. Label good, foxed overall w/ repaired cracks. Accessories are good. PROVENANCE: The Estate Collection of Gary Parietti. (01-19791/MGM). ANTIQUE. $2,500-3,500.
