MUSKET, NOVA SCOTIA MILITIA. Cal. 78. NSN. Bbl. 39 1/4". Standard configuration. Tower & GR cypher marked lock w/ broad arrow proof, bbl. proofs & branded on right side buttstock "6:BATn / N. S. M / E 18". This is a fine example of War of 1812 era brown bess. CONDITION: very good overall, appears all original & matching. Original flint configuration. Dark iron patina, good markings in metal. Brass furniture cleaned & toned to medium mustard patina w/ varnish. Stock is sound & varnished. Sm. proofs & store keeper's mark. Partially visible in outline.
