CORPORAL IN SIZE 2. A blue shell jacket with red trim on the collar, jacket body and cuffs. There are also 2 chevrons on each sleeve denoting the rank of Corporal. They appear to be sewn in when the jacket was made as the ends of the chevrons are inside the seam of the jacket. Jacket has small size enlisted Yankee eagle buttons. There are 2 buttons on each side of the collar, 11 down the front and 2 on each cuff. Both pillows are present at the base of the back. Red sleeve trim has a very high peak. Original coarse, light brown lining. Sleeves are lined in muslin. The top of the right sleeve lining has a very clear inspector's marks with 2 dots indicating a size 2 jacket and a "2" stenciled above. Also, the name "STEWART" is written opposite the inspector's marks. CONDITION: jacket shows light wear overall with no losses or open seams. (02-17727/BF). $2,200-2,600.
