COLT 1861 CARTRIDGE CONVERSION REVOLVER.

Cal. 38 RF. S# 1069. Bbl. 7 1/2" rnd. w/ German silver blade front sight & New York address. Fitted w/ conversion ejector having replacement ejector head. Six shot rnd. cyl. w/ naval scene engraving. Conversion ring loading gate is numbered "2094". Left side of frame is marked "COLTS / PATENT". Blue finish w/ case colored frame & brass grip straps. Bbl., frame, grip strap & cyl. have matching numbers. Frame & grip straps are marked "1" below S#. Wedge has non-matching number "27024". One piece walnut grips. Est. total of 2,200 converted in the mid-1870's. CONDITION: bbl. & cyl. have a faded gray appearance w/ scattered spots of light pitting. Cyl. retains 75% strong scene. Frame retains 70% bright case colors on sides. Brass grip straps show evidence of old cleaning. Refinished grips are slightly undersized showing dents & handling marks.
