COLT ARGENTINE MODEL 1916 SEMI-AUTO PISTOL.

Cal. 45 ACP. S# C20576. Bbl. 5" Norwegian replacement numbered .669. Mfg. 1915 as one of 1,000 ordered by Argentina w/ S# range of C20001-C21000. First group of 321 ordered by Argentina was for naval use (Model 1914) & so marked, third group was for an additional 400 (Model 1919). Later Argentina made System 27 Colts under license from Colt w/ Colt machinery. Scarce model w/ Argentine crest on top of slide behind ejection port plus matching number 576 between crest & rear sight. Checkered slide stop & thumb safety w/ milled undercuts. Long smooth faced trigger & wide spur hammer w/ borderless checkering. Smooth flat mainspring housing w/ lanyard loop plus short tang grip safety. Double diamond checkered walnut grips. Right side of frame above S# marked “GOVERNMENT MODEL”; standard slide markings w/ Rampant Colt behind cocking grooves. Normally imported in early 1960’s so is w/out import marks. MAGS: 1 good Risdon 7 rd. w/out lanyard loop. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: near excellent drop flap holster having staple & strap retention. Front pouch to accommodate 2 spare mags. CONDITION: good plus appearance as refinished w/ light marks & high point wear throughout. Gray patina in backstrap area & mottled appearance on front strap w/ some peppery oxidation. Bbl. bushing appears unknown replacement w/ tighter than normal military fit. Good to very good grips w/ light hand wear. Good shiny bore w/ scattered areas of light pitting. (22-533/NW).
