Cal. 22 LR. S# SM 2348. Bbl. 5". Mfg. 1941 w/ boxed RS inspector mark. Per Harrison's reference book on "U.S. Pistols and Revolvers", all aspects are correct for model. Fully checkered walnut grips. Checkered Type 3 arched mainspring housing properly w/out lanyard loop. Used as military training aid having floating chamber bbl. to increase recoil approximating that of main 45 ACP cal. Proper commercial blued finish. Micrometer Stevens rear sight & proper taller than normal serrated blade front. Wide spur Type D hammer & short milled trigger having checkered face. Left trigger guard bow w/ VP proof & X; right side numbered 60 matching numbered slide. 11,961 Aces mfg. between 1935 & September 1945. MAGS: 1 two toned 10 rd. "SERVICE MODEL" marked "ACE" mag. w/ pinned base & early steel follower. Near excellent appearance in all respects. CONDITION: occasional sm. mark due to handling or functioning appearing mainly on curved portion of slide between cocking grooves & front of ejection port plus frontstrap; overall close to near excellent collector quality. Near excellent bore & very good to excellent grips w/ faint rub mark at top of right. (22-1109/NW). CURIO. $4,000-6,000.
