Cal. 12 Ga., 2 5/8". S# 21245. The 30" twist bbls. are unmarked on rib or on tops. Bbl. flats stamped with serial number. Casehardened top lever action fitted with front spring rebounding locks having serpentine hammers with tall spurs. "Colt's PT. F.A. MFG. CO." marked on each lockplate. Top lever, trigger plate and trigger guard are blued. Serial number marked on trigger plate tang. Round knob pistol grip buttstock of lightly figured European walnut measures 14 1/4" over replacement Colt buttplate with rampant Colt logo. Point pattern checkering is at grip. Matching splinter forend with horn tip, has Colt's adaptation of a Deeley latch. MEASUREMENTS: BBLS.: Bore Diameter: R: .730", L: .734". Restrictions: R: .030" (FULL), L: .026" (MOD). Minimum Wall Thickness: R: .032", L: .029". STOCK: DAH: 3 3/16". DAC: 2". CAST: neutral. LOP: 14 1/4". WEIGHT: 7 lbs. 6 oz. CONDITION: very fine, with some partial refinishing of wood. Bbls. retaining approx. 90% original brown with good definition to pattern. Action and lockplates retain 50-60% original casehardening color, balance is bright silver with some brown splotches. Secondary blued parts retain most of their original blue with some cleaning evident on trigger plate and flaking on trigger guard bow. Stocks show some of their original finish with added oil. Rear part of butt is refinished over some light marks. Old buttplate has been fitted; is a bit undersized, and is matched to spur of original plate. Checkering is somewhat worn.
