COLT US ARMY MODEL 1894 DA REVOLVER.
Cal. 38 Colt. S# 100538. Bbl. 6" with blade sight and 2 line Hartford address ending with March 5, 1895 patent date. Fluted 6 shot cylinder that rotates counter clockwise. Butt with lanyard loop is marked "U.S. / ARMY / MODEL / 1894 / 100 / 538". Cylinder latch, inside of frame and crane have matching numbers "538". Left side of frame, rear of cylinder and bottom of barrel have "RAC" markings referring to sub inspector Rinaldo A. Carr. Back of cylinder, cylinder latch and inside of frame have "K" inspection marks. Bottom of barrel is marked "P". 2 Piece walnut grips. Butt of both panels have "RAC" inspectors marking. Mfg. 1898. CONDITION: 70% blue showing carry and edge wear with scattered scratches and marks. Grips have dark worn appearance with dents and handling marks and show no remaining cartouche on sides.
