ATTRACTIVE BULINO GOLD INLAYS CUSTOM MADE FOR THOMAS B. HARPER JR. Cal. 20 Ga./28 Ga. S# W38379. Both 28" bbl. sets are fitted with slightly raised matted concave solid ribs mounted with 2 white beads. Both ribs marked "CUSTOM BUILT FOR THOMAS B. HARPER JR." in milled out portion of ribs. CSMC trademark, along with model and gauge information are on tops of left bbls. Engine turned bbl. flats stamped with serial numbers, gauge and chamber information. Both bbl. sets are choked improved cylinder and modified, and so marked. Small, flat side, blued action with watertable partially milled away to reduce weight has CSMC info in cutout. Action features non automatic safety ("SAFE") inlaid in gold and gold plated selective single trigger. Action engraved in a style resembling 21-4 except dogs are gold inlaid and exhibit very fine Bulino detail and appear to be R & L sides of the owner's pointer; most likely detailed from photographs supplied. Trigger guard bow engraved with monogram "TBH". Horn sunburst capped, long pistol grip buttstock of fine crotch figured American walnut measures 14 3/8" over black "Decelerator" pad. Borderless point pattern checkering is at grip and a vacant gold oval is on toeline. Matching, braced beavertail ejector forend, with engine turned internals and inlet ebony tip, attaches to bbl. with "J" spring and knurled button secondary latch. Forend services both bbl. sets. Stock dimensions: 20 Gauge bbls.: DAH: 2 3/8". DAC: 1 5/16". CAST: approx. 1/2" off. LOP: 14 3/8". WEIGHT: 6 lbs. 14 oz. (28 Gauge bbls. WEIGHT: 6 lbs. 14 oz.). UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: gun and extra bbls. are housed in tan leather case with stitch leather corners which has tan canvas outer cover with zippered closure. Case is lined in burgundy cloth and contains cleaning equipment, snap caps for each gauge and a square nickel plated oil bottle. CONDITION: exceptionally fine, very close to "as new". Appears essentially unfired except for proof with only a very few exceptionally minor handling and assembly marks on factory surfaces. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanically crisp.
