Shawn and Sandra Raymond from Yukon Big Game Outfitters are offering a FOURTEEN (14) DAY STONE SHEEP HUNT FOR ONE (1) HUNTER. Hunt may be scheduled July 30th to August 12th or August 12th to August 25th 2019
YBGO's concession is renowned for its wild and uncompromising land which is home to some of the most abundant big game found in the Yukon. Yukon Big Game Outfitters Ltd is insured and licensed by the Yukon Government. We hold the exclusive rights to guide clients in outfitting area #20; the largest outfitting concession in the Yukon. It is located in south-central Yukon, northeast of Whitehorse and covers approximately 14 million acres or 21,600 square miles of wilderness hunting ground. Our camps are remote and accessible only by plane or horseback. Millions of acres have never been touched, leaving the landscape, game and genetics much the way they were 50 years ago.
At YBGO, we harvest only old heavy mature rams and ensure a high success rate by only taking a hand full of sheep hunters each year. For the past 6 seasons, we have harvested sheep averaging 10 years of age or older at a better than 90 % success rate. All hunts are 1 on 1 and conducted by horseback and back pack. A second hunter can be added (contact Shawn for details). We have a solid crew of returning guides each season that hunger to hunt these precious dark stone sheep as much as the hunters themselves.
YBGO hunts 6 different camps for stone sheep and the focus is on taking old rams. Other possible game that can be taken or added are grizzly, moose, and mountain caribou upon request. High bidder may also have an opportunity to extend the hunt 10 days to ensure more time to harvest a quality ram or add extra animals for a fee of $2000/day. This would include all animal's and is known as our Yukon big game slam hunt! INCLUDED: lodging and meals for one (1) hunter for fourteen (14) days (arrival/ departure plus twelve (12) actual hunting days, 1X1 guided hunt, transportation during hunt. NOT INCLUDED: license and tags ($260), NRHPF ($300), government harvest fee ($250), air charter($1800/person), game handling fee to bring your trophy from the field to town of ($960), upgrades, guest tax of 5%.
