Cased Two-Gun Colt Commemorative Nevada Battle Born 1864-1964 Single Action Army and Frontier Scout Matching Numbered Set: Gun #1 is a Single Action Army, #0057NB, .45 LC cal., 5.5'' barrel marked on left side ''1864-NEVADA BATTLE BORN-1964'', dark blue finish, nickel trigger guard and nickel roll-engraved cylinder with scroll motif and ''NEVADA 1864-1964''. Cylinder is numbered but does not match the revolver, missing the cylinder arbor and fits loosely. Faux pearl grips with silver Colt medallions, and standard sights. With the exception of the missing cylinder arbor, this revolver is near excellent overall, retaining approx. 98% original factory blue, with light scratching to bottom of ejector rod housing. Cylinder with a light index line, bright face and chambers, roll engraving and factory lettering is crisp. Grips appear as new. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Gun #2 is a Frontier Scout, #057BB, .22 cal., 4.75'' barrel; finish, grips, and commemorative markings are similar to the above SAA. Condition is excellent, appearing unfired, with minor handling marks, most noticeable on the nickel trigger guard and backstrap. Both are in a blue hardwood presentation case with commemorative Nevada and Colt markings on lid, and fitted blue velour interior. Case is very good with scattered light scuffs and scratches; fabric on inside of lid with a few spots of mild staining. Only 20 of these sets were produced, ca. 1964. Est.: $1,500-$2,000/set.
