Cased Ned Buntline Commemorative Colt Single Action Army New Frontier Revolver, #NB1315, .45 LC cal., 12" barrel, bright nickel finish, checkered black composite eagle and Rampant Colt grips, ramped blade front sight and square-notched rear sight that is adjustable for windage and elevation. Marked with maker's name and address on top, "Ned Buntline Commemorative" at left and "Colt New Frontier S.A.A. .45" at right. Mfg'd 1979. In the original hardwood display case with inner glass display window, and a pull-out drawer lined with burgundy velvet in the French style with space for the gun, with silver-finish Ned Buntline plaque, and six (6) silver dummy cartridges. Revolver is currently in fine overall condition and would likely clean to near excellent as there is moderate hazing on the cylinder. There are a few tiny specks of oxidation/finish loss on the bottom front of the trigger guard. Otherwise, there is no noticeable finish loss, only typical micro-scratching, and other intermittent minor handling marks. Factory lettering is crisp. Grips are like new with sharp checkering and details. Excellent action and bright bore; mild carbon fouling to the inside of frame is evidence of being fired, likely very little. Case interior is excellent, exterior with some light scuffs and scratches, fading and possible water damage to the right edge. One of 3,000 produced. Est.: $1,400-$1,800. (C&R/PPT)
