American made 5-round double-action revolver chambered for .44 Special, and manufactured in Stratford, CT. The Charter Arms Bulldog was introduced in 1973. A Stratford, CT. address line suggests that this revolver was produced after 1974, but it is hard to determine the exact date of manufacture. Revolver features a brushed stainless steel construction, 3" tapered barrel, raised fixed blade front sight, notched top strap rear sight, serrated curved trigger, 5-round fluted cylinder, serrated cylinder release, un-shrouded ejector rod, knurled ejector rod head, external hammer with a serrated spur, frame mounted firing pin, transfer bar safety, and two-piece checkered hardwood grips with gold-toned Charter Arms medallions on both sides. The original satin stainless finish retained is approximately 98% with a few very light scratches. Metal displays no rust, or deformation. Bore is bright with strong rifling, and the cylinder chambers are also in excellent condition. Action is smooth and crisp with a tight cylinder lock-up. The hardwood grips are in near very good condition with minimal edge wear, and some finish loss. Revolver includes the original factory cardboard box with end label, two speed loaders, a Tyler T-Grip (adds finger grooves to the front strap), smooth black plastic Barami Corp. grips, and smooth hardwood grips with gold-toned Charter arms medallions on both sides.
Condition is Near NRA Very Good.
