Chicago Arms Co. Model A 12 Ga #147199
Trade-name Marlin (Model 21 or 24?) shotgun made for Sears and others in the early 1900's. It sports a 30" blued barrel and receiver with a metal bead front sight which looks to have been peened down almost flat. It has a half length magazine tube and knurled hammer spur with two piece smooth wood stocks. Bore looks good, needs cleaned. Metal finish is either gone or in patina. Machining marks and pitting are very visible on the receiver. What appears to be the safety does not work. Wood forearm looks ok but plain. The shoulder stock has nice grain but has a 2" crack in the middle of the right side and no butt plate or pad. Condition is NRA Fair **C&R Firearm**
