"First Series' WWII era Japanese military striker fired semi-automatic service pistol chambered in 8mm Nambu. With capture paper. Features a blued finish, 4.6" barrel, dovetailed inverted 'v' front sight, fixed square notch rear sight, rounded trigger, large trigger guard, knurled grooved cocking piece, manual safety on the left side of the frame, magazine disconnect safety, push button magazine release, 8 round magazine with aluminum base plug, marked "205", steel frame with lanyard loop on the rear and grooved wood grips. Dated 16 10 ( Oct. 1941) No import marks observed. Matching serial number on trigger. magazine retention spring on fore strap. Bore excellent/bright. Retains 90% finish, with minor edge losses, bright drag line on the frame from the safety lever. Bare metal bolt is very good condition. Grips are very good condition with scratches. Markings are clear and readable. Includes brown leather flap holster , with carrying strap, no cleaning rod, stamped with Japanese characters. Overall good with scuff marks, with some separation on the flap. Included is 5 pieces of capture papers made out to Sgt. J.A. Prell, USMCR, of Buffalo, N.Y. assigned to the first Marine Aircraft Wing. Paperwork is fragile. A great set with a really nice conditioned Type 14. Condition is NRA Very Good+ *** C&R Firearm.
