Civil War Era Colt 1851 Navy 3rd Model Percussion Revolver, #107636, .36 cal., 7.5" octagon barrel, blue and color case hardened finish, smooth walnut one-piece grip, brass pin front sight, and fixed "V"-notch rear sight located on the hammer. Matching visible numbers except for inside grip channel; cylinder with naval scene. Mfg'd 1861. Revolver is in good overall condition, retaining only traces of original finish under the lever. Metal surfaces have been cleaned and gone to an even gray patina with nicks and scattered spots of surface erosion. Frame shows silvered color case hardened finish with good screw heads. Cylinder displays approx. 50%-60% of a lightly rolled cylinder scene with visible engagement date. Cylinder retains all six safety pins with clean nipples. Grips have scattered dents, nicks, small piece missing at the toe of the right panel, with an added coat of varnish. Action functions well, holding at half and full-cock. Bore is dark and in fair condition with visible rifling. Est.: $1,000-$1,500. (Antique)
