Civil War Era Moore's Patent Front-Loading Teatfire Cartridge Revolver, #15479, .32 teatfire cal., 3.25" round wedge-retained barrel marked "Moore's Pat. Fire Arms Co., Brooklyn, N.Y." on top; 6-shot round cylinder has line borders, marked "D. Williamson's Patent/Jan. 5, 1864" at rear circumference; open-top brass frame has scroll engraving, integral spurtrigger sheath and "bird's head" gripstraps, 2-pc. varnished walnut grips. Mfg'd ca. 1864-70 with blued barrel and cylinder, silver-plated frame. Condition is good retaining no original finishes, the steel surfaces with moderate pitting, brass with sharp engraving and light age tone. Grips show wear, dings, approx. 40% varnish. Lettering is very weak, missing swivel gate at right barrel lug. Action is crisp, bore shows light oxidation and sharp rifling. Est.: $300-$400. (Antique)
