Semiautomatic pistol manufactured by Colt for the Argentine military. In 1927 Colt manufactured 10,000 1911A1's for the Argentinean Army These pistols had their own serial number range from 1-10,000. Features 1911A1 design, blued finish, checkered wood grips, 5" barrel, fixed sights, single action trigger, grip safety, manual safety, arched knurled mainspring housing with lanyard ring. Knurled trigger. Bore is very good/bright. Retains 95%of the black/blue finish, Some minor scratches, edge losses, . Some slight rounding of edges of metal at front edges of slide. Grips are good with wear and a small crack on the top left panel. Someone has smoothed the center of the right panel and attached a silver toned America Eagle. Markings include: two line Colt address and patent line on left of slide, "EJERCITO ARGENTINA" with national crest right of slide. Observed numbers match. No import marks observed. Come with one 8 rd magazine. NRA Condition-Very Good. C&R Firearm.
