Colt 1st Generation Bisley Model Frontier Six Shooter Single Action Revolver, #194932, .44-40 W.C.F. cal., 4.75" barrel in ejector less configuration, blue and case hardened finish, deluxe checkered hardwood grips, blade front sight, with fixed "V"-notch rear sight. Top of the barrel is marked in two-lines "COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO/HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A."; left side "(BISLEY MODEL)/COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER". Underside of the barrel is marked "44". Left side of frame with two- line patent information and Rampant Colt logo. Matching visible numbers on the frame, trigger guard, and backstrap. No markings on back of either grip. Mfg'd 1900. Condition is fine, retaining approx. 90% blue. Wear at the muzzle, thinning and scratching to the backstrap and trigger guard account for much of the finish loss. Case colors are muted, approx. 40% remain. Barrel address and other markings are clear. The exception being the number on the trigger guard which is a little rough due to small impressions and mars. Grips are excellent, showing beautiful grain patterns, and crisp checkering. Action functions smoothly with all four clicks. Bore rates near excellent and is bright with well-defined rifling. Includes a factory letter that states this Colt Bisley revolver was shipped on March 31, 1900, to Hartley & Graham, New York, 10 guns in shipment; with 4-3/4" barrel, .44 cal., blue finish, stocks are not listed. Est.: $2,500-$3,500. (C&R
