Cased 2nd Generation Colt ''Robert E. Lee Commemorative'' Model 1851 Navy Percussion Revolver, with wood box and accessories, #3699REL, .36 cal., 7.5'' octagonal barrel is marked on top flat ''Address Saml Colt New-York City'' flanked by dashes, and ''Robert E. Lee Commemorative - Nineteen Seventy One'' on left flat; round 6-shot cylinder is roll-engraved with the naval battle scene and marked ''Colt's Patent No. 3699/Engraved by W.L. Ormsby New York'' in two lines parallel to bores and ''Engaged 16 May 1843'' in tiny letters along its front circumference; case hardened frame is marked ''Colts/Patent'' in two lines on left side; matching hammer, lever and plunger; silver plated brass backstrap and rounded trigger guard; one-piece varnished walnut grips. Condition is as new and unfired, retaining 100% original blue finish, brilliant case colors, silver with aged patina, and fine grips with all original vanish. Action is crisp; cylinder and barrel bores are brilliant with full original blue and deep rifling. Mahogany case retains all of its soft oil-stained finish with a brass ''Colt'' logo medallion inlay, is marked on top ''Robert E. Lee Commemorative/Nineteen Seventy One''; inner lid of butternut gray satin has the same legend; case bottom lined in gray velveteen is compartmented for the pistol, a slant-charger powder flask marked ''Colt's Patent'', brass bullet mold having a case hardened steel sprue-cutter marked ''Colt's/Patent'' in two lines, an Eley Bros. cap tin with green label marked for ''Colt's Pt. Belt and Pocket Pistols'', a blued L-shaped nipple wrench-screwdriver, case key and some cast balls, all in excellent condition. Est.: $500-$750. (No FFL Required)
