Colt Bisley .44 Spl. SN: 250945
'First Generation' Restored single action six-shot revolver chambered in .45 Colt, manufactured circa 1903. Introduced in 1894, the Colt Bisley was marketed as a target revolver and it got it's name from the Bisley shooting range in England. Features a blued refinish, replacement 7 1/2" barrel with '.44 Spl." scratched on it, blade front sight, 'v' notched rear sight, ejector rod, smooth trigger, wide low profile hammer spur, fluted replacement cylinder and two-piece brown hard rubber grips with Rampant Colt decor. Includes a copy of the Colt factory letter stating it was originally chambered in .32-20. It was shipped to Simmons Hdwe. Co. in St. Louis, MO on Dec. 12, 1903 in a 3 gun shipment. Serial numbers match on the frame, trigger guard and backstrap. "F.A.Wilder" engraved on backstrap. Action is crisp with three clicks & very good lock-up, bore is excellent and the hard rubber grips are good. Would made a great shooter. NRA-Very Good as Restored. C&R Firearm.
