Colt Bisley .45 Colt SN: 225839
'First Generation' Vintage single action six-shot revolver chambered in .45 Colt, circa 1902. Introduced in 1894, the Colt Bisley was marketed as a target revolver and got it's name from the Bisley shooting range in England. Features a blued finish, 4 3/4" barrel with two line address, brass blade front sight, 'v' notched rear sight, ejector rod, smooth trigger, knurled wide low profile hammer spur, fluted cylinder, and two-piece checkered hard rubber grips with Rampant Colt decor. Serial numbers match on the frame, triggerguard and backstrap. Revolver exhibits approximately 20% of it's old blued refinish with the balance of the metal surfaces turned to patina showing some scattered pin prick pitting. The cylinder stops have been lightly punched with a tool and minor protrusions can be seen inside the chambers but this does not appear to interfere with loading the cylinder. Action is crisp with four clicks & very good lock-up, bore is good with some minor pitting, markings are fair and the hard rubber grips are fair as they are worn smooth & fit improperly. Condition is NRA Fair. ***C&R Firearm***
